How To Automate Your Marketing
As the self-made multi-millionaire entrepreneur Ron Romano put
it, “All along I thought I was looking for ‘the thing,’ and as it turns out,
it was the system that makes money, not ‘the thing.’”
In other words, any worthy product or service can be profitably
sold—with the right system in place. This week I want to share with
you three easy-to-use, easy-to-implement, automated moneymaking systems.
AUTOMATED being the key word here.
Now before you let your negative self-talk tape start rolling, let me preface this list by telling you it has worked for hundreds of businesses including real estate (residential, commercial and investors), automotive, insurance, lawyers, cemetery/funeral, women’s and men’s retail, garden centers, chiropractic, restaurant, dentists, financial, bowling centers, pest control, carpet cleaners, cosmetic surgeons, and the list just goes on.
So what are the three secrets to automating your marketing?
- Internet Marketing System
- Stay-in-Touch System
- Toll-Free Recorded Messages
How can you implement them?
- Put your website to work for you.
- Include a box that will ask for the visitor’s name and e-mail address on every page of your website along with an incentive for giving you this information.
- Create an autoresponder (automatically generated response) so that when you do get this information, the prospect receives an immediate communication from you.
- Compile these addresses into a database so you can send out future e-mail blasts offering value-added information or advice.
- Never make ALL your information available without getting at least their contact information in return. You spend money to get them there, make sure it counts.
- You know it’s easier to upsell or resell to an existing client than a new prospect so invest in those relationships and add that personal touch—automatically.
If you have a large client base, instead of calling each customer manually, make one phone call and deliver what appears to be a personal message, to all your customers simultaneously. Here’s an example:
“Hi, this is Judy from Judy’s Salon. Sorry I missed you…just wanted to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. We have a lot to be thankful for, and we’re especially thankful for all of our great customers, like you. If you need to call us, our number is (555) 555-5555.”
- A toll-free recorded message has a prerecorded message prospects can all 24/7. The trick to making this successful is:
- The number must be toll-free (no charge to the caller)
- It is pre-recorded and therefore of no threat to the caller (no pushy salespeople)
- Prospects can call at any time
Here’s an example:
“Discover the Untold Story About Creating a Will and the 7 Worst Mistakes You Can Make. For your Free Report, call our 24-Hour, Prerecorded Toll-Free Hotline @ (555) 555-5555, ID #1007.
This is a great tool for investing minimal effort to discover which sales techniques work and which don’t, as well as for collecting prospects’ contact information.
